Rewrite

Reimagining climate literacy

Climate change is the defining challenge of our era. Yet, most people have an incomplete understanding of its causes, impacts and solutions.

Rewrite is a climate literacy programme which sets out to change that. Through online programmes targeted at both schools and businesses, Rewrite tackles climate change head on, with a focus on pragmatic and feasible solutions to halve emissions by 2030.

We have worked closely with the Rewrite team since its conception, working on everything from the visual identity to the infographics to the programme build and copywriting.

Climate doom and gloom might sometimes be necessary to galvanise policymakers into action but for a lot of people it can provoke anxiety and even apathy. Rewrite’s mission is different. They want to motivate and inspire, creating the next generation of changemakers and ensuring everyone understands why societal and business change is both crucial and achievable.

Our visual identity therefore straddles the line between educational and playful, combining an authoritative typeface with a bold colour palette and illustrations that thriftily repurpose other images.
